QUESTIONS
Save time by traveling more slowly!
A trip in Symone will take very little extra time only by car. So there is no impact for a night trip, you even win a day because you have combined sleep and travel. During the day, it will be many hours earned and valued in a comfortable space to do something other than driving.
Carried out by a professional upstream of the toll, the total duration of this operation is about 10 to 15 minutes for all vehicles.
Since this is carried out as the vehicles arrive, the loading time will be transparent to you. While waiting for the departure, you can start enjoying the many services on board.
Several technical and regulatory constraints oblige us to this configuration, vehicles at the top (+ at the bottom at the rear). However, we meet the imposed and very strict safety standards (including R66).
This configuration is also more suitable for people with reduced mobility and the “life area” is much better protected thanks to the reinforced structure.
The price of a trip in Symone will be equivalent to the real cost of the same trip with your car!
Freedom of mind, saving free time, comfort, safety and ecology in addition! This cost will be fully offset by gains on toll, fuel, wear and tear of your vehicle, maintenance, mileage discount and other induced costs that are often overlooked.
You book your ticket for a car, regardless of the number of passengers on board.
The reservation will be made via our mobile application and our website, where all the modalities will be detailed.
Each mode of travel has its advantages, Symone is complementary to rail and brings the advantages of the train on the highway with your car in your luggage!
Tens of thousands of people still take the highway every day for long distances and all have a good reason not to take the train, or even the autotrain when it still existed. These people need their vehicle on arrival, the ticket per passenger can quickly make the journey very expensive, the door-to-door travel time is also extended if you live on the outskirts of a large city, too many constraints to go to the city center, pay for parking or another mode of transport, etc.
So many good reasons to take a Symone.
More information:

Great progress has been made in recent years but the first autonomous vehicles that will allow you to sleep or work in your car are not expected until 2040. A distant future therefore, even if highway driving assistance systems tend to multiply towards 2030.
Especially when we know that the average age of the French car fleet is 11 years.
Hydrogen is the best adapted energy for heavy and long-distance modes of transport such as Symone. Hydrogen provides great autonomy and a reduced loading time.
So Symone and green hydrogen (by electrolysis from renewable energies) for shared trips on the highway, and other energies for individual cars.
Imagine small electric city cars charging on the back of a Symone while their passengers sip their coffee inside their cabin.
A very good example of energy mix and multimodality. The right energy for the right use is the future!
The deployment of hydrogen stations and the motorization of heavy vehicles are mature enough for the Symone to be able to operate on green hydrogen during the industrialization phase in 2023.
The prototype will work on bioNGV.
“In a car Simone! ”
Initially, a simple joke between founders, this name finally takes on its full meaning. With an international “Syone” touch for such an ambitious project that is of course intended to be exported.
Popularized by Guy Lux when he presented the show “Intervilles” in the 1960s, the expression is however a little older…
If you watched the Intervilles show presented by the tandem Guy Lux – Léon Zitrone, you must have heard these words: “In the car Simone, I’m the one driving, you’re the one who horns! “. A nod to Simone Garnier, co-host of the show? Yes, but the expression itself refers to another woman: Simone-Louise de Pinet de Borde des Forest.
Simone-Louise de Pinet de Borde des Forest was one of the first female pilots in France. She obtained her driving license in 1929 (rare at the time for a woman) and then started motor racing the following year, in 1930. For 27 years, she took the start of many races and would never have had accidents, a nice nose with clichés about women at the wheel.
Day or night, she watches over you!
For the founders of Symone, the owl is quite a symbol. It’s a nod to their city of origin, Dijon. It is also perfectly adapted to personify and represent this new green mode of travel with its reassuring side.
“It is apparently since the 17th century, following a supernatural event, that a popular belief is that if you caress this small sculpture in Dijon with your left hand, while your right hand is placed on the heart, making a wish, then it will become reality. This practice is so widespread that the stone is polished! “.
pierre est polie !”.
The energy used by a Symone loaded with 6 to 9 cars or motorcycles will be less than the energy needed for these same vehicles to travel alone on the highway.
Indeed, a 44-ton diesel truck on the highway does not consume as much as 30 individual diesel cars (30*1.5t). A truck consumes on average “only” 6 times more than a car.
Because heavy goods vehicles have a lower speed, it is necessary to take into account the aerodynamics of all individual vehicles, the friction of more wheels on the ground, the distribution of masses, the engine of heavy vehicles is more suitable,…
However, even if the question of energy relevance with Symone does not arise, it is interesting to ask whether energy efficiency should take priority over CO2 reduction. Especially when comparing decarbonized energy (a Symone) with carbonized energy (6 to 9 cars/motorcycles).
This will avoid the CO2 release that these vehicles would have produced. This is the effect sought by all in the ecological and energy transition.
